Textiles can be seen as composed of dots, lines and planes. With this concept in mind, I have found the Chinese Good Luck Knots could be the initial “dots” to be woven as a new fabric - which conveys the greatest blessings in Chinese. By this method, traditional Chinese crafts will be given a new life to become a transformable canvas to be painted on fresh colours.

The project is inspired by traditional Chinese knots.
In the photo below, this ornament was made by mom. It was decorated in lovely corner of home. Oops! because it was broken by accident from my dad in 2020.

About knot weaving
I was trying different materials to knot them together.

In details, there are red sewing thread to combine each knot which means every culture would link together for meaningful reasons.
